CAPSICUM spray was used to subdue a Bellambi man on Tuesday after police were called to Gladstone St, Bellambi, following reports of a car doing burnouts.

Police followed the car to a house in Rothery St. Sergeant John Klepczarek said police were forced to use capsicum spray in an ensuing struggle.

The driver was arrested and taken to Wollongong Police Station where a breath analysis recorded 0.055. He was charged with resisting arrest and drink-driving and will appear in Wollongong Local Court on September 22.
